Hector Bellerin is happy in Spain, and he isn’t missing London despite his long spell in the city, according to a report.
Estadio Deportivo report that Hector Bellerin’s camp report that he’s very happy in Seville, and he feels he’s had a straightforward adaptation period playing in La Liga so far.
Bellerin has settled well with a number of his teammates, including his old friend Marc Bartra, Alex Moreno, and Borja Iglesias.
As things are going so well, Bellerin isn’t missing London right now.
It helps that Real Betis are doing so well this season. They’re progressing in the Europa League and the Copa del Rey, and they’re third in La Liga going into the winter break.
There haven’t been any conversations yet over a permanent contract.
ED suggest Arsenal would be open to negotiate, but they’re likely to demand a price that Betis may struggle to pay.
But there’s a solution. Should Betis qualify for the Champions League, which is their current goal (and an achievable one given their place in the league table), they’d then have greater funds at their disposal to sign Bellerin permanently.
The 26-year-old is up to 14 appearances for Betis this season, providing three assists. He’ll hope he can continue to boost his profile ahead of next year’s World Cup.
