Aaron Ramsey has only played a handful of minutes of football for Juventus this season, and is said to be keen to move to get more minutes in before the World Cup in Qatar in 2022.

The midfielder turned 31 on Boxing Day, has played just 112 minutes this season – 98 in Serie A and 14 in the Champions League.

He also hasn’t played a single minute since November as he has been out of the squad with an ‘unknown injury’.

According to Tuttosport, via Sport Witness, Juventus are happy to agree a loan to move the midfielder on, a decision that could help Newcastle with his wages, not that they need much external help these days.

Ramsey is under contract with Juventus until 2023 so a loan would also be beneficial to the player should Newcastle get relegated.

It would mean Ramsey wouldn’t have to play with Newcastle in the Championship, as looks likely for Joe Willock, who was omitted totally from the Magpies squad for their 1-1 draw against Manchester United on Monday night.
