Football.London write that Arsenal want to expose Kido Taylor-Hart to senior football to aid his development, and they’re planning to send him out on loan next month.

Per Mertesacker wants Arsenal’s young players to avoid stagnating in the u23s, so Taylor-Hart is one of eight the club are trying to loan out in the January window.

The last few months haven’t quite gone to plan for Taylor-Hart.

After a long period of speculation and running his contract all the way to its expiry date, Taylor-Hart signed a new professional deal with Arsenal in August.

The winger followed that up with two goals and an assist that month, but he’s since played a much more inconsistent role for the u23s.

Making two starts in the last 11 Premier League 2 matches, Taylor-Hart hasn’t scored or assisted since August.

The 19-year-old clearly has a lot of talent, but he’s also got some talented players ahead of him. A loan would be one way to try and ensure he can play regularly in the second half of the campaign.

But even if the teenager can’t get his move, he may find his situation improves from January onwards. If Folarin Balogun ends up going on loan, his spot in the u23 team will be up for grabs, which should help.
