Saudi Arabian club, Al-Ittihad, are reportedly in negotiations with Mohamed Elneny over a January move for the player, despite Mikel Arteta wanting the midfielder to stay.

Mohamed Elneny is out of contract at Arsenal in the summer and there will be no new contract for the Egyptian. His Arsenal adventure will finally be over.
But, as we say against Manchester United on Thursday, Mikel Arteta still has more confidence in the 29-year-old ahead of the likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
In fact, Arteta would like Elneny to stay at the club until the end of the season, at least according to the player’s father, Nasser Elneny.
“Arteta wants Mohamed to stay. He might need him in the coming period so he will remain until the end of the season,” Nasser Elneny said (via KingFut).

“I hope that he will end his career at Al Ahly.”
Al Ahly play in the Egyptian league, but it is Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League who are said to be in negotiations with Elneny.
Galatasaray are also said to be interested in signing Elneny but they’ll want him for nothing.
