Kieran Tierney has returned to training with Arsenal over the last few days, but he’s still not in full squad sessions just yet.

In clips on the Arsenal social media pages on Thursday, Kieran Tierney could be seen training with his teammates. The left-back has been out with injury since the Crystal Palace match two-and-a-half weeks ago, but it looks as if he’s closing in on a return now.

Mikel Arteta confirmed in his press conference that Tierney has been back in training for a couple of days now, but not in full team sessions.

“Kieran has been training the last two days, he’s been much better so hopefully he will be available (for Watford),” Arteta said. “Let’s see in the next few training sessions.

“He’s done bits with the team but not fully trained yet, so in the next two days we’ll see where he is and how he’s feeling.”

We’ve also heard positive noises from the Scotland camp on Tierney’s fitness in recent days. The November international break is obviously coming up, and Scotland boss Steve Clarke told his press conference he expects the left-back to be fit for it.

Having Tierney back would certainly be a boost for Arsenal, though Nuno Tavares has taken some of the pressure off the Scotland international with his recent performances.

Tavares was particularly impressive in the last game against Leicester City, and it wouldn’t be a big deal if he had to start again on Sunday.
