Manchester City need a forward and, after failing to sign Harry Kane in the summer, they are expected to pick one up in January.

Alexandre Lacazette is on his way out of Arsenal and City, apparently, spot the chance to sort their problem on the cheap, according to a report from Spain who got it from a report in Italy who picked it up from the Daily Mirror.

Lacazette’s contract expires in the summer and, despite his excellent form this season, there is no hint of a new one being offered.

January, then, represents Arsenal’s last chance to get any money back on the £47.7m investment they made in 2017.

The Mirror also claim that even if Arsenal were to change their mind and offer the Frenchman a new deal, he would reject it.

Lacazette certainly won’t be short of offers, wherever he ends up. A host of clubs have already been linked with him, including Barcelona.
