Konstantinos Mavropanos is back in individual training after his recent injury, so it shouldn’t be too long until he’s available for matches again.

In a familiar theme for Konstantinos Mavropanos throughout his career so far, the centre-back saw a run of starts halted by injury recently.

Stuttgarter Nachrichten report that Mavropanos was diagnosed with a torn muscle fibre in the pelvic area ahead of the recent Augsburg game. He missed that match and the subsequent fixture against Arminia Bielefeld – both defeats.

There was initially no word on how long the Arsenal loanee would be out, but the good news is that he’s already returned to individual training.

VfB Stuttgart posted on their Instagram page this week to confirm Mavropanos was back in light training.

The defender had made a busy start to the season with Stuttgart, making 11 appearances and playing over 900 minutes. So the latest injury was certainly a disappointment.

Stuttgart’s two defeats also leave them in 15th and just one point above the relegation play-off place, as well as just two points above the automatic relegation spots.

That’s relevant to Arsenal, as Stuttgart’s option to buy Mavropanos only turns into an obligation to buy if the German side avoid relegation. Mavropanos has four goals for them this season, and they need him back in the team.
