Real Madrid are apparently ready to listen to offers for Luka Jovic and Arsenal are said to be very interested.

Despite wanting to carve out a career at Real Madrid, Luka Jovic has realised that the 95 minutes he has been afforded this season does not really point to that dream becoming a reality.

As a result, Jovic has apparently accepted that he needs to change his situation ‘sooner rather than later’ and this has pinged Arsenal’s radar.

Alexandre Lacazette is leaving Arsenal, likely in January, but definitely before the end of the summer transfer window when his contract expires.

Arsenal are trying to sign a replacement and, although they would ideally like to sign Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic, that seems unlikely.

Jovic is being put forward as a far more realistic option.

Arsenal have, of course, plenty of experience of dealing with Real Madrid recently having signed Denis Suarez and Dani Ceballos on loan and then Martin Odegaard joining permanently after his loan spell.

Jovic signed for Real Madrid for £56.7m from Eintracht Frankfurt, where he spend the last half of last season back on loan.

He scored four goals in 18 games back in the Bundesliga.

Jovic is currently valued at £18m, which is around what Arsenal will be hoping to get for Lacazette, should they sell him in January.
