Just moments before half-time in the Aston Villa game, Arsenal were awarded a penalty by a VAR review. It was obviously a big opportunity to go in at the break with a more comfortable lead, but failure to score could have the opposite effect on morale.

As you’d expect, Emi Martinez did his best to put Aubameyang off, causing a bit of a scuffle and delaying the kick. By the time the striker actually got around to taking it, a couple of the Arsenal players had clearly had enough of the tension.

One fan filming from the stands caught both Aaron Ramsdale and Gabriel Magalhaes choosing not to watch the spot-kick, only turning around after it was taken.

The duo must have been concerned when the crowd didn’t immediately erupt in celebration, given the initial save. Fortunately, they turned around to see Aubameyang turning in the rebound, putting the team 2-0 up at the break, with the game finishing 3-1.
