Juventus could offer Arsenal Aaron Ramsey OR Weston McKennie in order to get their hands on Granit Xhaka in a rumour that’s got a bit daft now.

Juventus want rid of Aaron Ramsey.

In fact, if you were to believe the majority of Italians football gossip sites, they have wanted to get rid of him since not long after they signed him on a free from Arsenal.

Arsenal, despite handing him a new contract, are also quite happy to let Granit Xhaka leave, if they can get a decent offer for him.

Roma wanted him in the summer, and Xhaka agreed a deal with the Italians.

They wouldn’t cough up a decent fee, so in the end, Arsenal kept him and renewed his deal to protect their asset.

As much as I love Aaron Ramsey, at 30-years-old, he would not represent a swap deal that would appeal to Mikel Arteta and his ’23 and under’ project at Arsenal.

The fact that he never really been able to shake the injury problems that blighted his Arsenal career following Ryan Shawcross’s early intervention, is another reason to dismiss this rumour as completely unlikely.

McKennie, however, is a different option altogether.

Earlier this week it was reported that Juve would consider swapping him for Xhaka. The addition of Ramsey is a new addition to the rumour.

The £22.5m-rated midfielder spent last season on loan with Juventus before they purchased him permanently from Schalke in the summer, paying £18.45m for the privilege.

It might seem odd that they want rid of him just shorly after signing him, but that deal seems to have been agreed before Massimiliano Allegri returned, and he doesn’t want him.
