Arsenal loanee Jordi Osei-Tutu posted on his Instagram story this week with a picture of himself wearing football boots, along with a timer emoji and a smiling emoji. According to Jeorge Bird, this is because he’s back in training with Nottingham Forest.

The Arsenal loan full-back recently picked up a hamstring injury 17 minutes into Nottingham Forest’s game against Blackburn Rovers. Given he’d had three hamstring setbacks with Cardiff City last season, this was obviously a major concern.

At the time, Forest manager Chris Hughton confirmed Osei-Tutu had injured the same hamstring that put him out for large parts of last season. The good news was that the early signs weren’t too serious, and the fact he’s now back in training is even better.

The Championship is currently on a break for the ongoing international fixtures, but Forest return with a match against Osei-Tutu’s previous loan club Cardiff City on Sunday, September 12th.
