Some parts of the media seem to be gearing up to unsettle Mesut Ozil once again despite his agent saying the complete opposite of what they claim.

AS in Spain apparently claim that Mesut Ozil is not happy in Turkey with Fenerbahce, nine months after leaving Arsenal. It’s a story the Daily Star have picked up.

Their headline reads like this:

Mesut Ozil 'unhappy' at Fenerbahce just nine months after leaving Arsenal Mesut Ozil joined Fenerbahce back in January after agreeing to cancel his contract at Arsenal, but things haven't necessarily gone to plan for the playmaker in Turkey [Daily Star]

Ozil recently travelled to Qatar for commercial reasons and that has now been spun into Ozil wanting a big money move to the country. The same thing happened when he travelled to America to discuss opening a coffee shop. He also apparently still considering a move there, too.

Ozil’s agent, however, is adamant none of this is true and his agent tends to be relatively forthright. He was insistent that Ozil would see out his Arsenal contract and the German almost did, the club having to resort to drastic measures to force him out.

“Mesut Ozil grew up with the love of Fenerbahce and now he feels the sensation of wearing that shirt,” Ozil’s agent, Dr. Erkut Sogut said.

“He is very happy, he always gives his best for the success of Fenerbahce.

“There are some footballers who come to Turkey because they cannot find another club.

“Mesut came because he always planned and wanted. Not for money.

“Mesut will play for Fenerbahce for three more years. Let no one doubt it,” he added.

“He went to Qatar for his own commercial and sponsorship negotiations. That is natural.

“Mesut is willing to do anything on the field to win the championship with Fenerbahce.”

Ozil’s contract with Fenerbahce runs until 2024 by which time he will be approaching 36.
