Bild journalist Christian Falk reports that Inter Milan are interested in a move for Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno in the January transfer window.

It certainly wouldn’t be a surprise to see one or two clubs making a move for Leno in January, if his situation remains as it is currently.

The goalkeeper has just a couple of years left on his contract, and he’s not starting matches in the Premier League as things stand. Aaron Ramsdale has now played three league games in a row ahead of his German teammate.

If Arsenal don’t extend Leno’s deal, they’ll probably want to sell him in one of the next couple of windows. Given he’s losing his grip on the number one spot at the club, it would be understandable if Leno was a bit unsettled, so this is a good time to pounce.

Then again, Falk has somewhat undercut his own reputation on Leno information.

He recently reported that Mikel Arteta had promised Leno he’d return to the team against Spurs, a claim which was denied by Arteta and then seemingly proven incorrect by the weekend’s lineup.

Maybe Leno really did receive assurances that weren’t upheld, but that feels like a bit of a stretch. So take the news of Inter’s interest with a pinch of salt.
