Juventus are reportedly being ‘forced’ to play Aaron Ramsey in order to boost his profile and find him a new club.

Juventus want to sell Aaron Ramsey this summer but have not received any offers for the cut-price midfielder. As a result, TuttoJuve report that the Old Lady are being ‘forced’ to play Ramsey ‘as much as possible’ in a bid to attract buyers.

The problem with finding Ramsey a new home are, of course, his wages. Picked up from Arsenal on a free transfer, the fee Juventus didn’t have to pay Arsenal was loaded into the midfielder’s contract. While there is some debate about the actual size of his wages, with some outlets claiming they amount to £400kpw, there are few clubs who would be able to match them.

Of the clubs that would be willing to pay Ramsey the sort of money he gets at Juventus, even fewer are looking for an injury-prone, ageing midfielder.

It would seem likely that Ramsey is headed for a subsidised loan next season, although where that might be is anyone’s guess.

He has been linked with a move to Spurs but Ramsey was quite clear about the likelihood of that happening when he was asked previously.
