Arsenal had been hoping to sell Hector Bellerin during this window but, like with most of their players, they have had to settle for sending him on loan just to get his wages off the books and let an unhappy player go elsewhere.

David Ornstein is now reporting that a deal has been agreed with Real Betis for a loan without an option to buy:

Ornstein adds that Bellerin has completed his medical, and the deal is simply awaiting La Liga approval before it can be confirmed.

Arsenal look set to bring in Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna as his replacement. The Japanese defender’s medical is taking place and we can expect an announcement before the close of the window.

As for Bellerin, that he was happy to take a paycut to ensure he left Arsenal during this window speaks volumes, I’m sure you’ll agree.
