Gabriel has been working with a physio in Mexico as he looks to overcome the knee injury that ruled him out of the Olympics.

Gabriel should have spent his summer in Japan, playing with Gabriel Martinelli as Brazil looked to retain their Gold medal. The defender, however, complained of pain in his right knee, which scans showed to be undiagnosed tendonitis.
A month on, and the player is still fighting to be fit for Arsenal’s opening game of the new Premier League season on 13 August.
“The player @_gabrielmagalhaes, who works for Arsenal football club, in England, carried out an 11-day preventive and preparatory work with me in Cancun, Mexico, before returning to Europe,” Thiago Pegoretti wrote on Instagram.
“I thank you for the confidence you have placed in my work and I wish you an excellent season, brother.”

Since arriving at Arsenal, Gabriel has only missed four games due to picking up Covid.
