Tammy Abraham has been told he is up for sale this summer but initial reports that Chelsea wanted £40m meant that it was a little too expensive for Arsenal. Now, however, Simon Collings, in the Evening Standard, is reporting that Chelsea ‘are expected to reduce’ that price tag in a bid to get Arsenal to make more concrete moves.

A couple of weeks ago, reports started to emerge that Arsenal were leading the race to sign Tammy Abraham this summer. The Athletic have since confirmed that Arsenal really are interested in signing Abraham.

Speculation only increased after Abraham netted against the Gunners at the weekend but Arsenal are only likely to bring the 23-year-old in if they shift Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.

Abraham is under contract until 2023 and scored 12 goals, with six assists, in 32 appearances last season, averaging around 48 minutes per game. The forward started just 12 Premier League games.
