Chris Wheatley writes that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has no plans to leave Arsenal before the window ends. It would now take an astronomical offer coming in late for that situation to change.

Aubameyang has joined up with the Gabon national team ahead of deadline day, preparing for their first match of the international break rather than hanging around at London Colney securing a transfer. Gabon face Libya on Wednesday at 20:00 BST.

There had been rumours over the weekend that Arsenal were preparing for late transfer interest in Aubameyang, and that they’d consider offers for him before the window closes.

Barcelona and several top Serie A clubs were reportedly monitoring his situation, and the same report suggested Arsenal were open to the chance to both recoup some of the £56m they spent on his transfer and also to lighten their wage bill.

But with no progress between then and now, it looks more likely the Arsenal striker will be remaining with his current club for another season.
