Arsenal absolutely smashed West Brom in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

Arsenal started shakily in a game that saw our new reserve left-back deployed at right-back, but once they found their rhythm there was no stopping them and West BRrom were brushed aside with barely a whimper.
A Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hattrick on his 150th Arsenal appearance, along with an assist, would have been enough to see this game over the line, but then we wouldn’t have seen Bukayo Saka’s superb goal, nor Nicolas Pepe’s or Alexandre Lacazette’s, just two minutes after coming on as a sub.
This was, of course, a young West Brom side, but let’s make no mistake, Arsenal could have scored 10 in when you factor in saves and the number of times they hit the woodwork (3), and when was the last time we could say that?
Arsenal got nine of their 14 shots on target telling me somebody has been making them do shooting drills.
Finally.
It’s also worth noting that against Chelsea, only one player was rated 7, everybody else was below that. Against West Brom, only one player was below 7.
Next up, City, but we’ll all just to agree that doesn’t count.
