Granit Xhaka, Joe Willock, and Ben White have all joined Arsenal’s training sessions over the last few days ahead of the clash with Chelsea.

When Arsenal posted their final couple of batches of training photos ahead of the clash with Chelsea on Sunday, there were three new players pictured getting involved.

First, Ben White took part in his first training session since joining in a £50m transfer from Brighton and Hove Albion. The new signing has wasted no time getting involved after his holiday, and the club report we may see a glimpse of him in the Chelsea game.

Next, it was good to see Joe Willock involved in training again. The midfielder has had a knock limiting his participation in pre-season, and Arsenal have been cautious with him – perhaps particularly so given the speculation around his future.

Another person with plenty of transfer speculation surrounding him is Granit Xhaka, the third player pictured back in training with Arsenal this week.

The latest reports suggest that in a u-turn from his near move to AS Roma, Arsenal are now preparing to offer Xhaka a new contract, and it looks like he’s willing to accept a fresh deal.

Whether any of the trio are ready to play a part against Chelsea remains to be seen, but it’s obviously good news to have them all in training.
