Roma and Chelsea have reportedly agreed a £34m fee for the services of Tammy Abraham but the player is yet to agree a deal with Jose Mourinho’s side and is said to favour a move to Arsenal, whom he supported as a boy.

While Arsenal have been in talks about signing Abraham from Chelsea, they have yet to make a formal offer for the 23-year-old.

In a bid to kill two birds with one stone, Arsenal have reportedly offered Alexandre Lacazette to Roma, who are looking to replace Edin Dzeko, who is off to Inter Milan to replace Romelu Lukaku, who is off to Chelsea.

Roma know that Lacazette would be much more affordable in terms of wages and fee, and it would also allow Arsenal something of a free run at Abraham.

As a result of all this, Roma’s director, Tiago Pinto, is said to be in London/on his way to London to sort it all out.

Abraham was an unused sub for Chelsea as they beat Unai Emery’s Villarreal on penalties in the UEFA Super Cup at Windsor Park in Belfast on Wednesday evening.

Abraham started Chelsea’s preseason friendly against Bournemouth but was on the bench for their games against Arsenal and Spurs, coming on in the second half to get a combined 134 minutes across the three games.
