Arsenal will face West Brom in the second round of the League Cup.

Thanks to failing to qualify for Europe, Arsenal get to play an extra round in the kids’ cup this year.

The draw for the second round of the Carabao Cup was made on Wednesday night when nobody was paying attention because we were all watching Chelsea vs Villarreal in the UEFA Super Cup match at Windsor Park in Belfast.

Arsenal will travel to the Hawthorns to face West Brom in the week starting Monday August 23.

Arsenal first played West Brom in February, 1901, an FA Cup game Woolwich Arsenal lost 1-0. They have played each other 143 times with Arsenal winning 74, drawing 31 and losing 38.
