The Sunday Mirror reported in their print edition that Aaron Ramsdale is desperate for Arsenal and Sheffield United to agree a deal, and he fears that the difficulties in fee negotiations so far will cause Mikel Arteta to look elsewhere.

As a result, the young goalkeeper is reportedly considering handing in a transfer request to try and push a move through.

As we’ve covered previously, plenty of sources on the Arsenal end have reported that after holding another round of talks with Sheffield United, the Gunners decided to pull out of a deal for Ramsdale.

But there was a suggestion from the Sheffield side that this was simply a negotiating tactic, with Arsenal hoping that publicly appearing to end their interest would push Ramsdale to agitate for a move and convince Sheffield United to lower their asking price.

From the sounds of things, Ramsdale is indeed now considering trying to push the transfer through. Whether his club bow to his demands is another matter.
