A goalkeeper, Ovie Ejeheri joined Arsenal aged eight and now, 10 years later after turning 18 in July, Ejeheri was understandably delighted to sign with the club.

“It’s a very, very special day for me,” Ovie told Arsenal.com. “My mum and my dad, they’ve helped me from my whole career, taking me to training, even when it was very, very hard for them, so it’s a good moment for me and them. I’m really excited to keep this journey going.”

Back in November, it was reported that England, Nigeria, and Uganda were involved in a three-way battle to secure the international services of Ejeheri.

Sky Sports reported that Ejeheri is eligible to play for England, Nigeria, and Uganda, with each keen to convince him to play for them. The English FA then called him up to join their youth goalkeeper training camp in December.

The goalkeeper made 14 appearances for the u18s last season.

Ejeheri wears the number 47 at Arsenal and you can see how that fits in with the new youth team numbers here.
