Danny Mills says Ben White is too good for Arsenal, proving once again that he hasn’t got over being humiliated by Thierry Henry in 2003/04.

Speaking on Talksport, Danny Mills said, “The only thing I am surprised at is Ben White has gone to Arsenal. Let’s assume that he will be at Arsenal for two or three years at least before he goes somewhere else. I just think he is better than that.

“Because he has got better chance of winning things. What is he going to win at Arsenal? League Cup, if he is lucky. Maybe the FA Cup.

“I think he is an exceptional player and I think he is a fantastic signing for Arsenal. I am just a little bit surprised that Manchester United, who are looking for a centre-half, haven’t come in for him.”

Mills, who won one League Cup in his entire career, has been a bitter little man ever since Thierry Henry humiliated him at Highbury:

Arsenal have agreed a £50m deal with Brighton for White’s signature with the initial paperwork already filed.

They have also agreed a deal with White, who is expected to undergo his medical when he returns from holiday on 26 July.
