Freelance journalist Sripad (@falsewinger) reports that Arsenal are among the clubs interested in signing Tino Livramento from Chelsea. Their interest is described as ‘serious’ and they’re keen to land him this summer.

It looks like they have strong competition, however, with Goal reporting that Brighton are closing in on a deal for the player. They’re trying to finalise a fee with Chelsea after the teenager rejected a new contract with his current club.

Southampton, Aston Villa, RB Leipzig, and AC Milan are also in the queue of clubs for Livramento, who won Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Year award this year.

Livramento is certainly a promising talent Arsenal would do well to pick up, but he also plays in a position of potential need for the Gunners.

Capable of featuring at right-back or right-midfield, the 18-year-old could bolster Arsenal’s options with Hector Bellerin likely departing. They’ll have to act fast before Brighton secure a deal.
