The Mirror initially reported in their print edition on Sunday that Arsenal want to add Max Aarons to their squad this summer. They’ve since reiterated that claim in an update on their website.

According to the outlet, Arsenal are ready to make their move, with the Norwich right-back valued at around £25m. But it’s not yet clear whether the newly-promoted Premier League side will be willing to sell.

Arsenal view Aarons as a replacement for Hector Bellerin, who is reportedly on the radars of Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid.

The Gunners have long been linked with Aarons, at least once or twice every season since 2018. The build-up to this summer saw the rumours growing more than ever, but they promptly died down towards the end of May.

For now, the Mirror are the sole outlet still suggesting this transfer is on the cards, but perhaps we’ll see more movement if and when Arsenal find a deal to sell Bellerin.
