Arsenal have enquired over Barcelona right-back Sergiño Dest, but the player still wants to remain with his current club as things stand.

Spanish outlet Sport report that Arsenal are one of the clubs interested in Sergiño Dest this summer. Bayern Munich and Juventus are others to enquire over the Barcelona man, with Barca keen to sell at least one of their right-backs, ideally Dest.

The biggest obstacle to a potential deal is that the player himself wants to stay with Barcelona. Sport make that clear, and Fabrizio Romano adds that Dest isn’t considering any other options this summer.

Sport suggest Dest would cost €30m, so it seems as if Barcelona would accept an offer around that figure if they received one, but the buying club would then have to convince the 20-year-old to leave.

The United States international made 41 appearances for Barcelona last season, as well as three for Ajax before his transfer and another 11 for his country. He’s evidently not struggling for games, so perhaps you can understand his hesitance to move on.

Arsenal are in the market for a new right-back this summer, with Hector Bellerin likely to leave.
