Arsenal have two player announcements to make, one signing and one new contract, but both are being held up by the closure of London Colney.

Football.London report that Arsenal have a couple of announcements to make, but only once they can get back to London Colney.

Albert Sambi Lokonga’s transfer is all but confirmed, and Kido Taylor-Hart’s contract extension is imminent. But both will only be announced when the training ground is reopened in the coming days.

As we covered on Thursday, members of the Arsenal u18s and u23s were forced into isolation after positive Covid tests at London Colney, leading to the temporary closure of the facility for deep cleaning.

That’s the reason for the delays with Sambi Lokonga and Taylor-Hart, not any issue with the deals themselves. It seems both of them are going to get across the line as soon as that’s possible again.

Sambi Lokonga will be the second of Arsenal’s three reported incoming summer transfers so far. Nuno Tavares has already joined, Sambi Lokonga is next, then Ben White will follow after Arsenal agreed a fee for his move from Brighton.
