With the club season now over, awards season has begun, and Bukayo Saka is getting the recognition he deserves for a strong individual campaign.

On Tuesday, Saka made the list of nominees for the Premier League’s Young Player of the Season award. Voting is open until 18:00 BST on Thursday, 3rd June, so cast your vote at the link above.

He joins Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Ruben Dias, Phil Foden, Illan Meslier, Mason Mount, Marcus Rashford, and Declan Rice in the running for the league award. Players up to the age of 23 at the start of the campaign are eligible.

Then on Wednesday, Saka was nominated for the Men’s PFA Young Player of the Year award. For this award, only players up to the age of 21 on 1st July 2020 are eligible.

Saka made the PFA shortlist alongside Rice, Mount, and Foden again, as well as Mason Greenwood and Trent Alexander-Arnold. There’s no fan voting in this case, with the results expected on Sunday, 6th June at 19:30 BST.

Clearly, the Arsenal youngster has stiff competition for both awards. But along with his call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad, it’s clear recognition of another promising season for the academy graduate.

Saka has already won the London Football Awards’ Young Player of the Year award.
