Arsenal are top of Yves Bissouma’s list of preferred destinations this summer, and his camp are in regular contact with the Gunners, according to a report.

TheAFCBell report that there are at least five clubs from around Europe showing varying degrees of interest in Yves Bissouma this summer, including Arsenal and one other English club.

For his part, Bissouma is mad about Arsenal and is ready to agree to join if the Gunners find a deal with Brighton. He sees Arsenal as the top of his list of transfer priorities, and his camp are in continuous contact with the club.

At this stage, a potential deal is still in the early stages. There’s no agreement on personal terms, no official bid, and Bissouma could still look elsewhere if Arsenal don’t make one. But right now, he’s keen to join if he gets the chance.

The 24-year-old made 39 appearances for Brighton this season, despite the fact they were only involved in domestic competitions. He missed just two Premier League matches, both through suspension (one red card, one yellow-card accumulation).

Liverpool are reportedly out of the race for the midfielder, but Arsenal appear to be focusing their attention on Emi Buendia for now, with creative midfield an understandable priority. Perhaps the Bissouma deal is one that will pick up pace as the summer goes on.
