Portuguese outlet Record report that the transfer of Nuno Tavares from Benfica to Arsenal will be settled in the next few hours. Negotiations advanced significantly on Tuesday and an official agreement is expected shortly.

The Mirror report that Arsenal are set to complete the move for Tavares in a £6.5m deal. Fabrizio Romano reported on Tuesday night that the Gunners would complete the transfer in the next few days, with paperwork to be signed soon.

Football.London then also reported that amidst interest from Brighton, Southampton, and Napoli, Arsenal have found an agreement in principle with Benfica for Tavares over an €8m deal plus add-ons, and they’re now set to complete the signing.

Romano, A Bola, and Record all reported earlier this week that Arsenal had an €8m (£6.9m) agreement. They’ve also agreed personal terms over a five-year deal with Tavares and an agent fee with his representatives.

Tavares has made 41 appearances for Benfica at left-back, scoring one goal and providing seven assists. He’s also a Portugal u21 international, making his debut for the side in 2019. The 21-year-old is likely joining as a backup alternative to Kieran Tierney.
