The Daily Mail report that Ruben Neves has suggested to those close to him that he’s willing to join Arsenal this summer. Wolves are bracing for an offer from the Gunners this week, and they’re willing to sell for the right price.

The Times initially reported that Arsenal had begun work on a deal to sign Neves. The Athletic have since added further credibility to the story, claiming Arsenal are admirers of the 24-year-old and could move to sign him to play alongside Thomas Partey.

The Athletic add that Arsenal have already made contact with Wolves over a potential move.

According to the Daily Mail and The Athletic, Yves Bissouma is also on Arsenal’s midfield shortlist, so Neves isn’t the only option for the position.

Neves had another busy season with Wolves, making 40 appearances, scoring five goals, and assisting two. It was the fourth season in a row that he’s made 40+ appearances for Wolves in all competitions – the last three of those in the Premier League.

The Portugal international has two years left on his Wolves contract.
