Watford are considering a move for Eddie Nketiah this summer, but Arsenal are looking for a fee of £15m or more to let him go.

The Mirror report that Watford are interested in Eddie Nketiah this summer, as they prepare to return to the Premier League. The Arsenal striker has one year left on his contract, and the club are open to selling him this summer.

All the same, Arsenal want £15m+ to let the 22-year-old go. We know the club are trying to raise money for their transfer business through sales, and they clearly still see Nketiah as an asset.

The young striker scored six goals for Mikel Arteta’s side this season, from 1,136 minutes. That equates to roughly a goal every couple of games, if you average it out.

Arteta didn’t seem to have Nketiah in his plans by the end of the campaign. He only made one league start in 2021, in a defeat to Everton. With Folarin Balogun signing a new deal and Nketiah running his down, now is probably the time to sell.
