With the Premier League season coming to an end over the weekend, the competition organisers are running their Player of the Month award poll a little earlier than usual. Click here to see the nominees and vote.

Two Arsenal players are up for the award, with Nicolas Pepe and Joe Willock joining Gareth Bale, Christian Benteke, Sadio Mane, Aaron Ramsdale, Alisson, and Rodrigo in the running.

Both players were in excellent goalscoring form in May. Pepe scored five goals in four appearances, and just three starts, including braces in both of the final two games of the season.

Willock scored four goals in four, netting for Newcastle United against Leicester City, Manchester City, Sheffield United, and Fulham. The only game he missed in May was the defeat to Arsenal, for obvious reasons.

None of the nominees scored more goals per game than Pepe, though Bale did match Pepe’s five-goal tally using an extra appearance. You’d imagine Willock will be getting a lot of love in the vote with two fanbases behind him though, and deservedly so.
