Arsenal’s Matteo Guendouzi remains on Olympique de Marseille’s transfer shortlist for the summer, according to reports in France.
La Provence report that Matteo Guendouzi is one of Marseille’s options for the summer transfer window, along with Gerson Santos da Silva of Flamengo.
The same outlet also linked Marseille to Guendouzi earlier this month, claiming the Marseille hierarchy were working on a move for the player amid the uncertainty around Boubacar Kamara’s future.
L’Equipe also recently reported that Marseille are anticipating the departure of key midfielder Kamara this summer, and that they’d lined up Guendouzi as a replacement.
Guendouzi has a year left on his Arsenal deal and spent the season on loan with Hertha BSC, but they’re seemingly not planning a permanent transfer for him.
The French u21 international and captain is currently out injured. He picked up a fractured metatarsal in his foot during his final game for Hertha. He made 24 appearances on loan in Germany this season, scoring twice and assisting once.
