Moroccan outlet DM Sport report that Arsenal are interested in Noussair Mazraoui this summer. The player is on the way out of Ajax, and the Gunners would like to snap the Morocco international up.

VoetbalNieuws also report that Arsenal are showing interest in Mazraoui, who could be available relatively cheaply.

That’s because of the player’s expiring contract. His current deal only lasts until 2022, and he seemingly has no intentions to extend it. De Telegraaf list Mazraoui as one of the Ajax players up for sale this summer, despite his strong performances this season.

The 23-year-old made 26 appearances this campaign, and he likely would have made more if not for a freak eye injury. The right-back was hit in the face by a ball and needed a couple of months to recover, though he has since returned to the pitch.

Arsenal were linked with Mazraoui as long ago as early 2019, but this summer may be the most realistic chance yet for a deal to go through.
