Freddie Paxton reports that Arsenal are keen on signing Norwich right-back Max Aarons this summer. The club have had an interest in Aarons for a few years, and they consider him a replacement for Hector Bellerin – who may well depart this summer.

Arsenal aren’t going to have a free run at Aarons, with Paxton reporting that a number of teams are looking to do a deal this summer, including Tottenham Hotspur. But it’s one the Gunners are in the mix for.

Speaking on the Here We Go podcast earlier this month, Fabrizio Romano reported that Aarons is highly appreciated by Arsenal and is on their list of right-back targets this summer.

Aarons has often been linked with the transfer, with reports last month suggesting Norwich City are open to a departure for a fee of around £30m.

Aarons has made 47 appearances for Norwich City as they achieved promotion back to the Premier League this season. There’s no doubting he was a key part of that campaign.

The 21-year-old played the full 90 minutes of the vast majority of those 47 matches, with the exception of one substitution on against Coventry City in the FA Cup, and the three times he came off in the 89th minute or later.
