Arsenal are once again being linked with a move for Barcelona’s goalkeeper Neto despite Bernd Leno stressing he won’t be leaving Arsenal.

Bernd Leno was one of a number of Arsenal first teamers who have been linked with a move away this summer due to unhappiness at how things are going on the pitch, but the German has already come out to put an end to those reports.

That being said, there is no doubt that there will be some moves within the goalkeeping department, even if that is just turning Mat Ryan’s loan into a permanent deal.

If they don’t do that, they will be in the market for a new number two with Alex Runarrsson proving himself to be so far from the required level you have to question just what Inaki Cana saw that made him recommend the Icelander to Arsenal.

Neto has been linked with Arsenal before but, with Everton also said to be interested, it’s hard to see him opting to come to Arsenal to sit on our bench behind Leno, regardless of any other issues.

The 31-year-old reportedly put in a transfer request back in January in a bid to force a move to Arsenal. It was rejected.

If you’re wondering why he might do that, is Edu’s chum, Kia Joorabchian.
