Arsenal already have two names on their list of potential right-back replacements for Hector Bellerin this summer, with the Spaniard likely to depart.

Speaking on the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano reported that Max Aarons is highly appreciated by Arsenal and is on their list of right-back targets this summer. Emerson Royal is also on their current shortlist.

A deal for Emerson would be complicated, and there’s nothing too serious in Arsenal’s interest so far, but they’re in the mix.

This is supported by a report from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo this week, who claimed Arsenal have joined the race for the Brazilian full-back.

Mundo Deportivo report that Emerson is currently set to return from his loan spell on June 30th and rejoin the Barcelona squad for pre-season. But his strong performances have drawn interest and Barca could consider a sale to aid their financial situation.

As for Aarons, this certainly isn’t the first time we’ve heard of Arsenal’s interest in him. He’s often been linked, with reports last month suggesting Norwich City are open to a departure for a fee of around £30m.

Hector Bellerin has been increasingly linked with a summer move, so Arsenal will presumably start to step up their pursuit of a replacement soon.
