In recent weeks, the rumours surrounding Arsenal’s goalkeeping position have started to grow. There are doubts about whether Bernd Leno will stay, and rumours linking the club with a move for Andre Onana of Ajax.

Last summer, the club were also heavily linked with David Raya of Brentford. Though the goalkeeper extended his deal towards the end of the transfer window, the new contract reportedly contained a release clause to allow him to leave in 2021.

For a while, the talk of a move for Raya died down, but it’s starting to pick back up again now.

Goal list Raya alongside Onana on Arsenal’s list of possible alternatives to Leno. They add that Leno has yet to enter talks over a new contract, with two years left on his current deal.

Football.London also write that they understand Raya is among the players Arsenal have looked at in case Leno moves on.

If Leno does leave, you’d imagine Raya would be the first-choice option to replace him, purely because Onana’s current suspension could keep him out until at least October, if not next February.

Then again, maybe the club go for both, or sign either of them alongside Mat Ryan. There’s really no certainty in the position right now.
