Arsenal and Manchester United have apparently stolen ahead of their rivals in the chase for Red Bull Salzburg’s striker, Patson Daka.

According to Salzburger Nachrichten, via Sport.fr, Arsenal and Manchester United are leading the pack chasing the signature of 22-year-old Patson Daka who has 31 goals and 10 assists in 38 games this season.

Salzburg are reportedly willing to sell for the right price, which is apparently around the same as Borussia Dortmund paid for Erling Haaland (€20m), if not more.

Like Haaland before him, Daka is dominating the scoring charts in Austria, with 20 league goals and another seven in all competitions. He also has five assists in his 31 appearances, as well as winning a few penalties.

Unsurprisingly, the 22-year-old is garnering further interest every time he makes it onto the scoresheet. 90min claim Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Daka since early in the current campaign, with scouts believing he’s ready for a Premier League move.

If Arsenal sell a striker or two this summer, which seems very possible, perhaps they’ll push for Daka to join as a replacement.
