Centre-back Harry Clarke was impressive in his most recent appearance for Oldham Athletic, providing an assist as he helped his team into a 3-0 lead.

Unfortunately, a knock forced him off with 17 minutes to go, and Oldham conceded their clean sheet in the dying minutes.

Still, the performance was enough to earn Clarke a spot in the EFL Team of the Midweek, a team that spans from League Two to the Championship.

Defensively, Clarke made three clearances, two interceptions, and one tackle, as well as winning six of his eight individual duels.

As for the assist, Clarke arrowed a long ball from his own half down the pitch in behind the opposition defence for Conor McAleny, who finished the chance clinically for 3-0. You can watch the goal here from 0:48.

Now we just have to hope the Arsenal loanee doesn’t have a serious injury problem, so he can return to the action for Oldham’s next game. Clarke is up to 30 appearances for the League Two side so far.
