There is no indication that Arsenal are interested in Onuachu, although his comments might grab the attention of the club. This isn’t even the first time Onuachu has declared his love for Arsenal, saying in 2018 when asked what club he would like to play for, “Arsenal. The way they play is just the kind of football I like to see – and so I would like to play for Arsenal at one point.”

Now, the 26-year-old, who is under contract until 2024, has told Sporza, via Voetbal Nieuws, “I really like Arsenal. [Emmanuel] Adebayor, one of the players I admired most, played there. I really was a fan of him, including Kanu. I really love watching Arsenal too.”

29 of Onuachu’s 31 goals have come in just 33 league games. He also has two assists, giving him 31 direct goal involvements in 33 Jupiler Pro League games.

Onuachu signed for Genk in the summer of 2019 for £5.4m from FC Midtjylland. In his first season in Belgium, Onuachu scored 10 goals in 29 games, giving him a career total at Genk of 41 goals, and five assists, in 64 games.

He is currently valued at around £15.3m.
