His account remains just a blank page with his name at the top.

Kolasinac and Mustafi lead rebellion against FC Schalke manager

Sead Kolasinac and Shkodran Mustafi are part of a revolt against Schalke boss Christian Gross, according to reports in Germany.

Balogun was out of action at the time, neither featuring for the first team nor the last couple of games in February with the u23s. He wasn’t in any of the training photos, either.

Initially, there were claims on social media that the striker was injured. But those weren’t confirmed by any official sources, so we can’t really speculate either way.

It’s very possible his on-pitch absence is unrelated to whatever has caused him to delete or hide his posts and he has now returned to action:

Balogun’s Arsenal contract expires in the summer, which has led to uncertainty over his future at the club. Negotiations are ongoing, and, despite Mikel Arteta stating he believes Balogun will stay at the club, fans are understandably jumpy at any hint he could be leaving.

We’ll have to wait and see whether the latest footballing absence and social media break really means anything.

Balogun currently has nine goals and two assists in 18 u23 games as well as two goals and one assist in four Europa League appearances for the first team.
