Goal Italia reporter Romeo Agresti writes that there’s no dancing around the fact that Aaron Ramsey is ‘a problem’ for Juventus right now. Earning €7m net a year whilst scoring six goals in 61 appearances, there’s a sense that he’s not justifying his high wages.

Then there’s the fact that Ramsey is currently injured, once again. He picked up a thigh problem after the Champions League exit to Porto, an exit for which he has also come in for some criticism.

Juventus don’t even have the Serie A to fall back on. They sit third place in the table and 10 points behind Inter Milan, albeit with one game in hand. They’re in the final of the Coppa Italia, but that looks to be their only real shot at silverware.

Ramsey has a contract with the Serie A side until 2023, but you get the sense the Welsh international may be on the move before that if Juventus can find a buyer.

Whenever it starts to look like Ramsey might be available, there are always links to Arsenal. However, at 30 years old, it’s probably a move the club should think twice about. They really need to be thinking about the future with their midfield signings, not just the present.
