Arsenal defied most people’s predictions to both both outplay and beat Spurs, not always things that go hand-in-hand with Arsenal, so who was the highest rated player?

Arsenal actually finished the game with three players with an eight or above. No Spurs player was above 7.6.

Both Alexandre Lacazette and Martin Odegarrd got an eight according to fotmob, thanks to their goals.

Emile Smith Rowe was close to breaking the eight barrier with a 7.8 but the best player on the day, however, was Kieran Tierney, which will come as a surprise to nobody.

Tierney finished the game with one assist, an 81% pass success rate, seven crosses, two key passes, nine duels won, three recoveries, and one interception.

He also helped get Lamela sent-off by putting his face in the way of the little scrote’s flailing arm.
