Starting away to Brighton, Omari Hutchinson scored one at the end of each half as Arsenal suffered a disappointing 3-2 defeat.

With the young Gunners 2-0 down in first-half injury time, Hutchinson scored a solo effort to pull them back into the game.

Some of the credit has to go to goalkeeper Hubert Graczyk, who caught a cross before quickly releasing Hutchinson with a long throw. The 17-year-old raced away down the left-hand side before beating two defenders and slotting into the net.

Hutchinson had the chance to double his tally in the second half after Khayon Edwards won a penalty. He sent the goalkeeper the wrong way for 3-2, but it was too late for a comeback.

Hutchinson is now up to four goals and seven assists in 13 u18 Premier League appearances this season. Six of those goal contributions have come in the last five games.

The teenager has had to play a few different positions this season, from winger to full-back, but he’s consistently getting involved in the goals regardless.

It’s good to see his continued progress after signing his first professional contract in November.
