The S*n report that teenage winger Ajani Burchall has rejected a scholarship deal with AFC Bournemouth, meaning he’ll be available for no more than a training compensation fee in the summer.

Arsenal are reportedly at the head of the queue for the player, who is also drawing interest from several other Premier League clubs.

Burchall made his senior debut for Bournemouth in December, coming off the bench late against Huddersfield. That was just a month after he turned 16. He made the squad again later that month but hasn’t yet made any further senior appearances.

Understandably, a first-team debut at such a young age draws some attention, even in the Championship.

With Kido Taylor-Hart yet to sign a professional deal with Arsenal and a bit of a lack of natural wingers in the u23s, it’s very possible they might look to bring one in over the summer. Particularly someone available for a minimal fee.
