RB Leipzig haven’t made any official bid to sign Folarin Balogun this summer, contrary to recent reports of a pre-contract agreement with the club.

Football Insider reported on Wednesday that Folarin Balogun had agreed a pre-contract with RB Leipzig, preparing to leave Arsenal on a summer free transfer.

Fabrizio Romano denies the validity of this story, writing that RB Leipzig have not made an official bid to sign Balogun – at least not yet. Romano adds that the striker has more than 15 bids as a free agent this summer.

According to the Italian journalist, Balogun’s contract situation with Arsenal is stalling because he wants to play.

The Athletic recently reported that Folarin Balogun is close to signing a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club. Like Romano, they claimed the 19-year-old wants to play, adding he also wants more money than Arsenal are offering.

VfB Stuttgart are another possible destination, given claims in Germany that he’s had conversations with them. But for now, we don’t know exactly where he’ll end up – assuming he leaves at all.
